Light the Titanic
Lighting Kit for Revell's ™ 1/570 Titanic Model Kit:

Light the Titanic! Light Revell's 1/570 Model Kit of the Titanic with an ease that was never before possible! Thrill to the fully-lit, biggest thing afloat with gleaming bittersweet verisimilitude. Bear witness to how Titanic appeared on that fateful night!

With this kit's 66 brilliant Light Emitting Diodes (LEDs) sitting on three, specially designed circuit boards you can simulate all the portholes with unprecedented accuracy.

You get:
  • Circuit boards with their associated electronics
  • Fine wiring
  • Battery packs
  • Choice of switching
  • Fully illustrated instructions
  • Suggestions on how to improve your Revell 1/570 Titanic
  • Additional red and green LEDs that, with short lengths of fiber optic strands, allow you to simulate the navigation lights on the Titanic's Flying Bridge!
  • A porthole placement guide by noted Titanic research scholar, Bruce Beveridge with illustrator Frank Giacobbe — included in this kit with their generous permission.
  • Added bonus — a super-detailer's delight: both Grand Staircase Dome covers made out of etched brass and vacuum-formed domes for the interior!
  • Nothing like this has ever been offered for 1/570 scale until now! No spaghetti-coils of fiber optic to string, no boiling hot incandescent, no odd-looking cold-cathode fluorescents, no short-lived electroluminescent sheet!

A beginner can assemble this kit and achieve a level of work associated with a Master Modeler! Detailed assembly guides will take you through the building of each circuit board and their placement inside the hull. Some soldering experience would be helpful but simple directions and diagrams will allow a novice to achieve an "old hand's" results (NOT recommended for modelers under the age of 16 unless they're experienced with soldering or have adult supervision/guidance).

If you don't already own the Revell 1/570 Model Kit of the Titanic, we include it in our Bonus Package. Revell refurbished and improved the accuracy of their venerable model of the Titanic since the release of James Cameron's epic movie, Titanic (1997). The porthole placement is very accurate but with the use of Light the Titanic's "Drill Size Chart" plus the Beveridge and Giacobbe Sidelight Diagram, you can drill each porthole to nearly the precise size in scale! It is this recreation of the distinct pattern and size of "lights" — portholes! — that help bring to life the character of Titanic.

The Light the Titanic Lighting Kit will allow a modeler to turn a good model of the Titanic into a jaw-dropping, awe-inspiring replica of that great liner as she appeared at night.
